The Amanxing Race 2: Going to the Dogs Welcome again to The Amanxing Race 2: Going to the Dogs. I'm your host, Phil Kiwi, and with me, from Amanxing Race 1, is Koko, the Talking Gorilla.
As the sun sets over Portmeirion, the Racers are enjoying the Pet Stop. The locals have staged a human chess game, and Hercules, Maxx, and Keo take part. Down on the beach, Bella is sitting on the edge of the water, gazing out towards her ancestral home in the Isle of Man, perhaps? Tripp, trapp, tripp, trapp, Navy Goat walks across the bridge to the beach to go for another swim. He invites Bella, but she'd rather not get her fur wet. Navy swims out into the harbor, but is scared when a stray weather balloon pops up out of the water and comes back. Heidi and Depot, who arrived in Wales first, are the first to leave. Their first clue reads, "There'll be Amanxing Racers over, the White Cliffs of Dover, take your Land Rover." Heidi enthusiastically jumps into the car. When they arrive, the Racers are required to rappel down the cliff!
Keo and June and Heidi and Depot get down right away, but Taffy is afraid and starts to howl. Douglas is not too thrilled, either, as he has no claws to help him, but he thinks the cliffs look like marshmallows and hops right down. Taffy is still howling, but Quincy urges her on and she arrives at the bottom a full fifteen minutes after the others.
The Land Rovers are waiting at the foot of the cliffs with the instructions to take their Racers to the Channel Tunnel and put them on the train to Paris, France, where they will find their next clue at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Everyone is very excited! Meanwhile, back in Wales, Siegfried and Roy are trying to bully Army Mule into switching places with them, but Army is stubborn and stays his ground. The tigers growl as the two service pairs take off, followed by the tigers, the foxes, and the perpetually arguing Gruesome Twosome.
The tigers cause more trouble at the cliffs, as they shake Hercules and Maxx's rappelling ropes and growl at Sanford and Banjo. Fortunately, the experienced police dogs are able to get to the foot of the cliff with no trouble, and they stay to spot for the foxes. They do not stay for Fancy Feast, who is hissing at Chef's Blend because her fur is flying. Everyone meets up at the Channel Tunnel station and gets on the same train. While the Black and Golds study their Paris guidebooks, Army and Maxx stop by their seats to complain about the tigers. Suddenly, Heidi starts jumping up and down in her seat - she's the first to spot the Eiffel Tower! The train stops and the Racers come pouring out of the car, trying to be first at the Tower. Herc and Maxx get the first cab, followed by Heidi and Depot, Q&T, and Bella and Douglas.
At the top of the Eiffel Tower, Maxx, Taffy, Heidi and Douglas pick up a ROAD BLOCK. One Racer from each pair will go on a whirlwind tour of some of Paris' most famous sights while the other waits at the foot of the Tower. The clues are handed out by French Poodles. The first clue: "I have a hunch you'll want to come back to this famous cathedral." Of course, their first destination is Notre Dame Cathedral . At Notre Dame, the clue reads, "The Phantom of the Opera is here," and Maxx is off to the Opera with Taffy in hot pursuit. There, they read, "You'll find something to smile about at this famous museum, but don't lose your arms!" They head off to the Louvre Museum, and Taffy wants to go in and see the Mona Lisa, but they don't have time. Meanwhile, Keo leaves Notre Dame as Army arrives, Douglas is at the Opera, and Heidi is just leaving the Eiffel Tower. One Racer is in her element in Paris amongst the unfriendly locals. "C'est la Fancee Feast," they say, as the world's most famous white Persian strolls along the Left Bank with complete disregard for Chef's Blend or for the Race. She's about had it, and leaves C.B. to do the Road Block.
Maxx and Taffy arrive back at the end of the Road Block to find their final clue: Take the Train to Cannes, home of the famous Film Festival, and go to the Palais of Festivals, the night's PET STOP. While the two dog pairs travel back to the train station and buy tickets, Banjo is leaving the Eiffel Tower, Keo is at the Opera, and Heidi and Douglas visit the Louvre.
The police dogs, the retrievers, the chimps, Bella and Douglas, and Heidi and Depot all make the first train to Cannes. Upon arrival, Hercules and Maxx, having been tipped off by the Paris gendarmes, take a shortcut to the Palais and find Phil waiting at the end of a red carpet with a French Bulldog, French-born artist Micheline Connery, and her husband, Amanxing Race I favorite Sean Connery! He's wearing his kilt again. "Welcome to France, Hercules and Maxx! Yerr team double-oh-one! DOOGLAS!!!! Yerrr double-oh-two!"
The second Cannes train arrives, three hours later, with Army/Navy, the foxes, tigers, and the Gruesome Twosome. Sean salutes the Mule and Goat as they arrive. Sanford and Banjo are next, as they manage to sneak ahead of Siegfried and Roy. Chef's Blend arrives. Fancy Feast arrives after a ten-minute walk down the red carpet, waving to imaginary fans.
Sean is holding Chef's Blend in his lap and petting him. "Blend, Chef's Blend. Ahh, Miss Fancy Feast, ye have a nasty habit of annoying everyone. All right, Fancy Feast, ye arrre canned. It is my distinct pleasure to inform ye, and the viewers at home, that ye an' Chef's Blend arrre the last to arrive here and thus ye arrre eliminated from the Amanxin' Race II, like ye should have been several times beforrrre. Noow get oot of my sight before I throw ye in the water!" Next... on Dogleg 5 of the Amanxing Race: Teams get a day off, and... a big little surprise. Then they're off again, and this time they're rolling out the barrels.
