Hillman's Cafeteria (and grocery)
Located on Washington Street just east of State, Hillman's Cafeteria was one of the favorite downtown eating places of Dot, Sis and Sunny. The site is part of “Block 37”, now being developed into an enormous retail and mass-transit complex.

There were also several Hillman's Foods grocery stores (operated by the owners of Stop & Shop) in the Chicago area during this time. One was in the Sears store at 63rd and Halsted.
