Don Doty
Doty (as he's referred to in the diary) was a good friend of Dot and Sis'. He and Chuck were good pals as well, and could usually be found at or near Parnell's.

Sis recalled that their friend Helen had a big crush on Doty, but that “[Doty] never took any girl seriously!”

Doty always entertained everyone by doing an imitation of movie and radio star Danny Kaye's fast-singing, double-talking routines.

In her diary, Dot wrote that Doty was “a really swell kid—who could really boogie”.
